Does Geography matter anymore?


In the 1990's there was talk of 'the death of distance', suggesting that in a digital, connected world, 'place' would no longer be relevant.  In fact, the opposite is true; our increasing reliance on data is making location ever more central as a way of integrating data and making good decisions.  Mark will draw on examples from a range of Ordnance Survey’s collaborative projects to illustrate the benefits of using geography as a framework for enriching communities, places and lives.
