With 1800 employees, Airbus Intelligence has helped governments and organisations anticipate and respond to major changes and events across our planet for more than 30 years.
Digital access to services and digital innovation in the fields of Image Processing and Machine Learning are of high business priority for the industry and Airbus is driving a company-wide Digitalisation and Open Innovation initiative to facilitate and encourage closer work with entrepreneurs, start up’s, SME’s and academia. This global project is boosted here in Wales through Airbus Group Endeavr Wales [http://www.airbusgroupendeavr.wales] - a not-for-profit company with a remit to identify, nurture and fund digital innovation ideas.
This session will focus on a real and ongoing case study of market-led digital innovation. Joe will outline the business rationale behind Airbus’s digital innovation strategy, share the approach (Hackathons, Mapathons, Satellite Imagery Challenges, Open Platforms, Coaching) and recent experiences before exploring with you new ideas and opportunities for collaboration.
