Career History 2006 – 2009
GoCompare launches with a car
insurance comparison service and six employees. The following year we launch
our motorbike, van and home insurance comparison services and air our first
ever TV advert. By 2009 we’ve become the first comparison website to compare
over 100 different insurance providers.
2010 - 2012
We move to a bigger office to accommodate our now almost 100-strong team and hit a key target of one million insurance quotes in a month. By 2012, we’re delivering the equivalent of one quote per second across all of our products.
2013 - present
Kick-starting with another office move! This time we relocate to purpose-designed offices to accommodate our ever-expanding team and support future growth.
In late 2016 we demerge from esure Group, and list on the London Stock Exchange (LSE:GOCO) as an independent company in control of our own destiny.
Skip to 2017 and we’re focussed on streamlining processes, empowering people to apply their skills as effectively as possible, and looking for ways to harness new technology to make everything we do even quicker and slicker.
Qualifications and awards
Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA), 2008.
Thanks to our ‘philosophy of comparing insurance products on their suitability to individuals’ requirements as well as price’ we were the first, and remain the only comparison website to be invited to join BIBA.

Hobbies and interests
We donate £1,300 a month to charities picked by the GoCompare team (one gets
£1,000, and two others get £150 each).
Keeping fit: From running clubs to football teams, Zumba classes and Metafit, there’s always something planned to help you work up a sweat. And we have showers and changing facilities on-site.
Socialising: Summer barbeques, Christmas parties, team meals, celebration days, and more. We’re not shy of a party!
As a GoCo-er, you get to enjoy a day off for your birthday, flexible working hours, and a relaxed dress code. There’s free parking at our Newport HQ, plus on-site car valeting and tyre servicing. We’re all about rewarding hard work, and offer length of service awards, performance-based bonuses, staff recognition schemes, and an annual awards ceremony.
